CentOS. Не работает Yum. base/$releasever/x86_64.
Попытка воспользоваться Yum приводит к ошибке:

One of the configured repositories failed (CentOS-$releasever - Base),
and yum doesn't have enough cached data to continue. At this point the only
safe thing yum can do is fail. There are a few ways to work "fix" this:
1. Contact the upstream for the repository and get them to fix the problem.
2. Reconfigure the baseurl/etc. for the repository, to point to a working
upstream. This is most often useful if you are using a newer
distribution release than is supported by the repository (and the
packages for the previous distribution release still work).
3. Run the command with the repository temporarily disabled
yum --disablerepo=base ...
4. Disable the repository permanently, so yum won't use it by default. Yum
will then just ignore the repository until you permanently enable it
again or use --enablerepo for temporary usage:
yum-config-manager --disable base
or
subscription-manager repos --disable=base
5. Configure the failing repository to be skipped, if it is unavailable.
Note that yum will try to contact the repo. when it runs most commands,
so will have to try and fail each time (and thus. yum will be be much
slower). If it is a very temporary problem though, this is often a nice
compromise:
yum-config-manager --save --setopt=base.skip_if_unavailable=true
failure: repodata/repomd.xml from base: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.

Ошибка вызвана переменной $releasever. Она должна возвращать номер версии релиза вашей ОС. Для решения проблемы необходимо установить пакет «centos-release». Сделать это можно при помощи команды yum install centos-release… но yum у нас не работает! Придется использовать костыль для оживления yum:
- Нужно узнать номер версии релиза.
# cat /etc/centos-release CentOS Linux release 7.4.1708 (Core)
2. Отредактируем базовые репозитории:
# nano /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Base.repo
Увидим что-то похожее:
[base] name=CentOS-$releasever - Base mirrorlist=http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=$releasever&arch=$basearch&repo=os&infra=$infra #baseurl=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/$releasever/os/$basearch/ gpgcheck=1 gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-7 #released updates [updates] name=CentOS-$releasever - Updates mirrorlist=http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=$releasever&arch=$basearch&repo=updates&infra=$infra #baseurl=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/$releasever/updates/$basearch/ gpgcheck=1 gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-7
Закомментируем строки начинающиеся с «mirrorlist», раскомментируем строки начинающиеся с «baseurl». Также в строках «baseurl» вместо «$releasever» вставляем номер релиза полученный ранее. В нашем случае «7.4.1708». Должно получится так:
[base] name=CentOS-$releasever - Base #mirrorlist=http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=$releasever&arch=$basearch&repo=os&infra=$infra baseurl=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/7.4.1708/os/$basearch/ gpgcheck=1 gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-7 #released updates [updates] name=CentOS-$releasever - Updates #mirrorlist=http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=$releasever&arch=$basearch&repo=updates&infra=$infra baseurl=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/7.4.1708/updates/$basearch/ gpgcheck=1 gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-7
Теперь можно делать «yum update» и «yum install centos-release». После успешной установки возвращаем файл «/etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Base.repo» в первозданный вид. Все должно работать как надо.
